Trade growth, diversification go together – Swazi premier


Swaziland Prime Minister, Absalom Dlamini, has said countries in the region cannot realise growth without diversifying their economies. Mr Dlamini said this when he opened this year’s Agricultural and Commercial Show in Lusaka whose theme is ‘growth and diversity.’

‘Partners’ discusses climate change

PARTICIPANTS to the Smart Partnership Dialogue yesterday deliberated on the need for a standard response to floods and other effects of climate change. Joint convener of the dialogue, John Musukuma, said this at a media briefing in Lusaka. He said the dialogue discussed how best to mitigate the effects of climate change, especially floods.

PARTICIPANTS to the Global Southern Africa International Dialogue in Lusaka yesterday brainstormed on how countries could better implement their national visions to achieve sustainable development. This was after most participants hailed the government of Botswana for its annual briefings to its nationals in the implementation of the country’s Vision 2016 to achieve sustainable social and economic development.
